Jess LaPolla is a hiker, climber, backpacker, and all-around outdoor enthusiast. Jess specializes in writing about all things outdoor and travel-related, from how to plan your first camping trip to the best queer-friendly hiking destinations. Jess understands that outdoor activities and sports have consistently excluded marginalized communities. Her goal is to make the outdoors more accessible and welcoming, by drawing on her experiences as well as the experiences of others. When she isn’t working on a story, Jess can be found playing with her two dogs, Sawyer and Jorah, or planning out her next adventure.
