Ty Herndon’s 2020 Concert for Love & Acceptance slated for June 30

Country artist Ty Herndon’s annual Concert for Love & Acceptance will go on despite the COVID-19 crisis. Now in its sixth year, the concert will take place online Tuesday, June 30, at 7 p.m. Country star Tanya Tucker will kick off the live-streamed charity event on YouTube and Facebook as well as at Herndon’s Foundation for Love & Acceptance website. GLAAD and ACM Lifting Lives® are the beneficiaries of event proceeds.

Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth and CMT’s Cody Alan will serve as co-hosts of the free event. Additional appearances and performances will be announced in the coming days.

“With Pride events cancelled or postponed around the country – including here in Nashville – we couldn’t let the month pass without sending a strong message of love and acceptance to our LGBTQ youth and families,” Herndon said. “I’m excited to be able to partner with ACM Lifting Lives® and GLAAD to raise valuable resources for their important initiatives.”

Fans will be able to engage with the show during the livestream, and the concert will be available to view online afterwards.

“We’re disappointed that we can’t stage the show in Nashville as we always have, but we’re hopeful that we will be able to use this opportunity to reach more country music fans than ever with our message of love and acceptance for LGBTQ people,” said co-executive producer Zeke Stokes. “Nonetheless, our plan is to be back with a live event in 2021, and we can’t wait.”

GLAAD and Herndon created the first Concert for Love & Acceptance in 2015 shortly after Herndon became the first male country artist to come out as gay. Previous event appearances and performances have included Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker, Reba McEntire, Chris Daughtry, Terri Clark, Crystal Gayle, Cassadee Pope, Chely Wright and many others.

WhistlePig + Alfa Romeo F1

SHOREHAM, VT (September 13, 2023) — WhistlePig Whiskey, the leaders in independent craft whiskey, and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake are waving the checkered flag on a legend-worthy release that’s taking whiskey to G-Force levels. The Limited Edition PiggyBack Legends Series: Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is a high Rye Whiskey selected by the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake drivers, with barrels trialed in their wind tunnel to ensure a thrilling taste in every sip.

The third iteration in WhistlePig’s Single Barrel PiggyBack Legends Series, the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is bottled at 96.77 proof, a nod to Valtteri Bottas’ racing number, 77, and the precision of racing. Inspired by Zhou Guanyu, the first Chinese F1 driver, this Rye Whiskey is finished with lychee and oolong tea. Herbal and floral notes of the oolong tea complement the herbaceous notes of WhistlePig’s signature PiggyBack 100% Rye, rounded out with a juicy tropical fruit finish and a touch of spice.

by Spectrum Medical Care Center

Nurse Practitioner Ari Kravitz

When I started medical transition at 20 years old, it was very difficult to get the care I needed for hormone replacement therapy because there are very few providers trained in starting hormones for trans people, even though it’s very similar to the hormones that we prescribe to women in menopause or cisgender men with low testosterone.

I hope more providers get trained in LGBTQ+ healthcare, so they can support patients along their individual gender journey, and provide the info needed to make informed decisions about their body. I’ve personally seen my trans patients find hope and experience a better quality of life through hormone replacement therapy.
