Tribe and Play set New Year's Eve plans

Play Dance Club, Tribe Video Bar and Red Restaurant have teamed up and are offering the following entertainment for New Year's Eve.

Play New Year’s Eve
Singer/Songwriter Kristy Lee opens in the Showbar at 8 p.m.

In her hometown of Bay Minette, Kristy Lee could be found knee deep in Alabama clay playing her music on a truck tailgate by campfire to anyone with listening ears. Kristy is one of the few who knew from the beginning what she wanted to do with her life...reach as many people as possible through the universal language of music. Inspired by a wide variety of music, beginning as a child in the bathtub, Kristy never believed music should be categorized. She believes music should be judged by feelings and nothing more...the main reason her music has not been labeled or categorized. When Kristy writes a song the music and lyrics do not come from any particular style. Kristy's music and lyrics come from feelings, and the resulting style is exclusively Kristy Lee. A popular performer (with almost 5,000 MySpace friends,) play is proud to have Kristy back on stage New Year’s Eve.

Carmella Marcella Garcia headlines the Playmates’ show at 10:30 p.m. and 1 a.m.

In today’s celebrity culture, the word “legend” is often overused, but few would dare deny it as an appropriate description of the female impersonator and entertainer extraordinaire, Carmella Marcella Garcia.  Carmella, who for the past twelve years has been the Show Director at Southern Nights in Orlando Florida, the South’s premier female impersonation show bar, has joined the Play Mates cast at Play and will perform there and ring in the New Year on New Year’s Eve. I don’t know what it is with men’s jeans that make it so difficult to find the right pair. It takes time to go through all these denim brands and try styles like straight-legged, boot-cut, and then the disco favorite, flared jeans. Thanks to popular metal bands back in the day, acid-washed and stone-washed jeans were a thing–pair those with a biker jacket and some big hair, and you were set.
