Valley residents will have access to go behind the doors and into some of the most beautiful and unique homes across the Phoenix Metropolitan area from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4 for the International Alliance for the Prevention of AIDS’ Tour for Hope fundraiser.

Known to bring people together with personalized culinary experiences across the globe, local chef Gabe Bertaccini and his "Chef’s Den" will be one of highlights of eight luxurious homes. Other notable features during the self-guided tour will include a 1.5 acre, private villa boasting a timeless French rural flair that’s been featured in both House Beautiful and Phoenix Home & Garden magazines, a contemporary glass retreat of a home nestled against the head of Camelback Mountain that has its own private trailhead for hiking, and a fabulous 3-acre estate with an amazing 20-car garage.

Paid guests will be emailed the addresses and details of each location for driving convenience along with additional details about the tour day. On Nov. 4, event day, guests may begin the self-guided tour from any location and enjoy each location at your own pace. Guests will be greeted by volunteers at each location who will be available to answer any questions about the property.

The global HIV/AIDS pandemic is one of catastrophic proportions – 25 million deaths around the world, 33.2 million people currently infected with the virus, and 15 million children orphaned. Every day, there are 14,000 new infections worldwide.  According to the Arizona Department of Health Services 2017 report, the number of people living with HIV in Arizona in 2016 was 17,464, with 780 new infections reported and 201 people died from HIV/AIDS.

WhistlePig + Alfa Romeo F1

SHOREHAM, VT (September 13, 2023) — WhistlePig Whiskey, the leaders in independent craft whiskey, and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake are waving the checkered flag on a legend-worthy release that’s taking whiskey to G-Force levels. The Limited Edition PiggyBack Legends Series: Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is a high Rye Whiskey selected by the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake drivers, with barrels trialed in their wind tunnel to ensure a thrilling taste in every sip.

The third iteration in WhistlePig’s Single Barrel PiggyBack Legends Series, the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is bottled at 96.77 proof, a nod to Valtteri Bottas’ racing number, 77, and the precision of racing. Inspired by Zhou Guanyu, the first Chinese F1 driver, this Rye Whiskey is finished with lychee and oolong tea. Herbal and floral notes of the oolong tea complement the herbaceous notes of WhistlePig’s signature PiggyBack 100% Rye, rounded out with a juicy tropical fruit finish and a touch of spice.

by Spectrum Medical Care Center

Nurse Practitioner Ari Kravitz

When I started medical transition at 20 years old, it was very difficult to get the care I needed for hormone replacement therapy because there are very few providers trained in starting hormones for trans people, even though it’s very similar to the hormones that we prescribe to women in menopause or cisgender men with low testosterone.

I hope more providers get trained in LGBTQ+ healthcare, so they can support patients along their individual gender journey, and provide the info needed to make informed decisions about their body. I’ve personally seen my trans patients find hope and experience a better quality of life through hormone replacement therapy.
