Excerpt from Transcript:

I would love to just showcase growth that's happening here. I mean, not just the growth in the people that already are here, but the growth in the community... We were talking just before we started recording about how I mean, I've just been watching these these local queer Facebook pages and there are people moving from major metropolitan areas ... queer people moving here in droves, which I think that that's also going to play into the size of the drag community here and that's so exciting to me well, and you know, as I was going around and finding artists to be in the video, I was introduced to so many new artists that have recently moved to town or recently started in their drag journeys and you know, there's going to be more people coming but you know, coming behind them I absolutely believe that our community is going to blow up after this video comes out, you know, as more venues are open to having shows as we're able to get more shows, I just don't see anything but this place like blowing up with drag and I think that's sick. Yeah, I'm so excited about it. I mean, I was excited about it enough to start putting makeup on it for in the morning. Yeah. I was I was up at like, 3am and was so jazzed I was like, I cannot believe that I'm awake and excited. And it's like, 3am Yeah, but here we are. This is because we started filming What? We were the first time. And it was it was 8am. Yeah. And I mean, not only like not only just like the drag queens that were through that were the drag entertainers that were through that room. But the production crew that you coordinated with, just like a roomful of fabulous queer people, like, absolutely, we wanted it to be a fully queer experience. And so it was important that the production staff also be, you know, queer friendly, or allies of the community or queer themselves.

Now, it's National Margarita Day and we put together some of the best margarita recipes around so you can pick one or maybe even all of them to try.

We have a few surprises in there too. Maybe it's not all about tequila but it certainly has a theme going on. Take a look at some of these great tequila brands and start making some amazing margaritas today!

Gender-Inclusive Universities and Student Privacy

For many students, attending university is a profound, often life-changing, transition. It is often the student’s first time living on their own without parental supervision. This lifestyle is also accompanied by a period of self-discovery, of defining and redefining a sense of personal identity largely independent of the influence of family and friends from home.

For students who are members of the LGBTQ+ community, this rite of passage can also be a deeply empowering one. Indeed, attending university may be the student’s first real opportunity to explore their gender identity in a safe, comfortable, and accepting college.

I had the opportunity to visit Mexico for an event José Cuervo was putting on, the unveiling of their premium tequila brand, Reserva de la Familia. The trip was all about tequila, how to drink it properly, how to pair it with food, and of course, visiting various points of interest in Guadalajara while tasting tequila along the way.
