Out & About Nashville to publish the Official Nashville Pride Guide

Nashville Pride will reach a huge milestone in 2018, as the festival hits the 30-year mark. This year also marks a significant shift in the relationship between Pride and Out & About Nashville, as this year’s June issue will double as the official 2018 Pride Guide.

“Nashville Pride is proud to partner with Out and About Nashville for the annual Official Pride Guide,” said Pride president Ryan Ellis. “Each year they provide in-depth coverage of the festival and everything happening in the Middle Tennessee area for Pride month.”

Out & About Nashville publisher Jerry Jones added, “Every year our Pride issue is distributed all month at locations throughout Middle Tennessee, including all Kroger stores in Davidson and Rutherford counties and to our online readership, which numbers over 127,000 according to our most current independent media audit data. We've also had a strong and visible presence at the festival itself, distributing the issue at Pride. We are very excited for this opportunity to ensure that every Pride attendee has the opportunity to read the great content we produce for Pride, and to become more familiar with the gay-friendly advertisers we feature!”

How will this affect the content of this year’s Pride issue?

“Our coverage will remain focused on Nashville Pride entertainment and events throughout the region, including Pride Night events for sports teams and spirituality nights. If there’s an opportunity for people to show their pride in the region, we want people to know about it,” said managing print editor James Grady. “There’s just so much going on, we just hope that organizers will reach out and give us the opportunity to help spotlight all the fantastic things that are going on!”

When you come out to Nashville Pride 2018 on June 23-24, 2018, be sure to find your copy of Out & About Nashville, and drop by our booth to say hello!  If you or your business would like to advertise in this year’s official Pride Guide, please contact our sales staff at salesnash@outvoices.us, and if your organization is hosting a Pride-themed event, be sure to let our editors know at editor@outvoices.us.

WhistlePig + Alfa Romeo F1

SHOREHAM, VT (September 13, 2023) — WhistlePig Whiskey, the leaders in independent craft whiskey, and Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake are waving the checkered flag on a legend-worthy release that’s taking whiskey to G-Force levels. The Limited Edition PiggyBack Legends Series: Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is a high Rye Whiskey selected by the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake drivers, with barrels trialed in their wind tunnel to ensure a thrilling taste in every sip.

The third iteration in WhistlePig’s Single Barrel PiggyBack Legends Series, the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake Barrel is bottled at 96.77 proof, a nod to Valtteri Bottas’ racing number, 77, and the precision of racing. Inspired by Zhou Guanyu, the first Chinese F1 driver, this Rye Whiskey is finished with lychee and oolong tea. Herbal and floral notes of the oolong tea complement the herbaceous notes of WhistlePig’s signature PiggyBack 100% Rye, rounded out with a juicy tropical fruit finish and a touch of spice.

Nurse Practitioner Ari Kravitz

When I started medical transition at 20 years old, it was very difficult to get the care I needed for hormone replacement therapy because there are very few providers trained in starting hormones for trans people, even though it’s very similar to the hormones that we prescribe to women in menopause or cisgender men with low testosterone.

I hope more providers get trained in LGBTQ+ healthcare, so they can support patients along their individual gender journey, and provide the info needed to make informed decisions about their body. I’ve personally seen my trans patients find hope and experience a better quality of life through hormone replacement therapy.
