Nashville’s Rodeo Association sets plans for pub crawl, Atlanta road trip and Mr. Bud Light contest

Nashville’s Smoky Moutian Rodeo Association (SMRA) has a busy summer planned, starting off with its second annual pub crawl and ending with the crowning of Mr. Bud Light – Nashville. And, in between, a trip to Atlanta’s gay rodeo.

Climb aboard SMRA’s double-decker British-style bus as part of a pub crawl set for Saturday June 11 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

FADD’s party bus, a double-decker British-style bus, will shuttle patrons from different bars in Nashville. Tickets can be purchased for $30 by calling 615-202-1992. The night includes five hours of bar hopping, prizes, music, dancing and drinking. Patrons may bring their own drinks on the bus.

Bars that will be part of the pub crawl include The Chute, Lipstick Lounge, Gas Lite, DeVil's and a "mystery bar".

All tickets must be purchased in advance.

 

Mr. Bud Light - Nashville competition

Five preliminary competitions will be held over the next few months, with the winner named in October. The Winner will receive $500 in cash and prizes. There is a $10 entry fee per contestant, and participants may enter as many preliminary competitions as they want. Those competitions will be held at DeVil’s, Tribe, The Chute and Blu.

Contestants will compete in four categories including:

  • Creativity – show the judges your creative side by doing a promotion for the sponsor, Bud Light

  • Fantasy Western Wear – contestants can show the judges what their Western fantasy is

  • Clyesdale – show your best feature in this category, be it your smile, your dimples or something else you want to show off

  • Fundraising – how much can you collect in tips during your performances?

Contestants will be judged by the number of points awarded in each category. A winner will be chosen in each of the five preliminary competitions to compete in the final competition in October.

Atlanta rodeo package includes transportation, lodging

A chartered bus will shuttle Middle Tennesseans to one of the South’s largest gay rodeos in Atlanta.

The bus will be departing Nashville at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 22 and returning at approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Prices for the weekend festivities are:

Gold (2 people per room)
Hotel, Weekend Rodeo Pass, Bus
$220 per person

National Pride Grant money

The LGBTQIA+ National Grant allows eligible small businesses to receive one of 25 grants totaling $25,000. Founders First is committed to increasing the number of diverse founder-led companies generating over $1 million in revenue and creating premium-wage jobs.
