Nashville's Newest Gay Bar Set To Open August 24

Lucky's Garage, Nashville's newest gay bar, is set to open on Thursday, August 24, with IdeaProv's "Drew Karaoke" and DJ Oliver Dodd.

IdeaProv's Drew Karaoke improvises new lyrics to popular songs starting at 9 p.m., then electroclash jock Oliver Dodd spins until 2 a.m.

The 8,000 square foot Lucky's will have a cabaret stage, an ultra lounge, dartboards and a revolving schedule of entertainment. Co-owners T. Allen Morgan and Tony Daniel say they have planned an innovative weekly schedule of activities with improv comedy and theater, dart leagues, game and casino nights.

Lucky's will be open every week Tuesday through Sunday, and closed on Mondays and is located at 207 14th Avenue No. Nashville. The entrance to the club is in the rear of the building on the alley (adjacent to the Hustler Hollywood store). There is parking on the side of Lucky's but beware, do not park at Hustler Hollywood or you will more than likely be towed.

The hours of operation are: Sunday - 4 PM to 2 AM; Monday - Closed; Tuesday - Thursday - 4 PM to 2 AM; Friday - 4 PM to 3 AM; Saturday - 6 PM to 3 AM; Happy Hour is Tuesday through Friday 4 to 8 PM.

The event schedule includes:
Trash Disco Sundays - Hot BBQ, a beer bust, Absolut Peppar Bloody Mary Bar and dance classics. 4 to 9PM: Trash Disco + BBQ + Beer Bust + Bloody Mary Bar 9 to 2AM: Trash House + Dancing, Dancing, Dancing!

Poker Taco Tuesdays - Tuesday nights include a free taco bar, table games and pro blackjack dealers along with Margarita specials all night.

4 to 8PM: Happy Hour + Free Taco Bar + Margarita Specials
7 to 12AM: Game Night + Blackjack Dealers + Table & Card Games (or bring your own)

Lucky Thursdays - "Always something new" is the theme for Lucky Thursdays.
8/24, 8:30PM: IdeaProv, Nashville's premier comedy improv troupe, performs "Drew Karaoke." Performers use audience suggestions to create improvised lyrics to popular songs.
8/31 - 9/21, 9PM: Mr. Lucky Hot Bod Contest which runs throughout
September. Grand prize is a trip for two to Mexico! Two-for-one domestic longnecks all night. 9/28, 9PM: IdeaProv performs "How We First Met." Couples from the audience are selected and their love story recreated in improved songs and sketches. 10/5, 9PM: Mr. Lucky Hot Bod Contest Finals Grand Prize: Trip for two to Mexico!

Skyy Dive Fridays - $5 Skyy Martinis and a free pasta buffet hosted by The Italian Market. 4 to 8PM: $5 Skyy Martinis + Free Pasta Bar + Comedy Videos 8 to 3AM: Cruzin, Boozin' + Schmoozin'

Lucky Saturdays - Music, men and dancing.
