Nashville Ballet presents the world’s best-known classical ballet,SwanLake. Featuring a full cast of dancers, beautiful sets and choreography, the ballet is accompanied by The Nashville Symphony, performing Tchaikovsky’s score.
SwanLake is the story of a princess trapped in the body of a swan. Prince Siegfried falls in love with Princess Odette after watching her beautiful moonlit dance. A spell cast by an evil sorcerer turns Odette into a swan each morning, and this spell can only be broken if a prince pledges eternal love to the princess. Discover how Prince Siegfried is tricked into proclaiming his love for Odette’s evil twin, the sorcerer’s own daughter Odile.
For more than a century, SwanLake has engaged audiences and inspired new generations of dancers, who are challenged by the ballet’s technical demands and the ability to express all the human emotions...from hope to despair, terror to tenderness, and melancholy to ecstasy.
