Moods of Norway, celebrated Norwegian fashion lifestyle brand and provider of Happy Clothes for Happy People, is holding its first-ever trunk show in the United States at The Label menswear store, 2222 12th Avenue South in Nashville, on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Label is the only retail store in the Southeast to carry Moods of Norway, renowned for its men’s suiting, which is often referred to as the “Mood suit,” in addition to its casual wear, from sport coats to dress shirts, trousers and knitwear. Shoppers will have an opportunity to preview and purchase select items from the Moods of Norway Spring 2013 collection.
Founded by Stefan Dahlkvist, Peder Børresen and Simen Staalnacke in 2003, Moods of Norway makes "Happy Clothes for Happy People" which is reflected in their fun and fashionable designs. Incorporating its inherent sense of humor, the company embroiders "234.243" into its men's suits, which references the number of registered tractors in Norway, a nod to the brand’s logo.
Moods of Norway is a brand of bold contrasts, much like the celebrities who wear it, from Nick Cannon and Alan Cummings to Tracy Morgan, Kellan Lutz and Lance Bass.
“I am thrilled to be hosting a Moods of Norway trunk show at The Label,” said fashion stylist Renee Layher, co-owner of The Label. “The meticulous detail that goes into the collection, from the fabrics, to the linings, contrast stitching, to the tags and buttons, sets them atop in the marketplace. They have created the classic but modern fit that makes every man that wears Moods of Norway look handsome. Not to mention the amazing price points on their suits!”
The Label offers cutting-edge design in suits, fine denim, dress shirts, vests, jewelry, home furnishings and more. Over 90% of the products carried in the store are made in the U.S.A. Tony Sartino, designer for Prince, Kings of Leon, Bon Jovi and Goo Goo Dolls, creates custom-made clothing exclusive to The Label. Other designers include Logan Riese, Prophetik by local designer Jeff Garner, Moods of Norway, Demon Riff leathers, Robin's Jeans, Tuesday Night Band Practice, Stand and Deliver by Corey Parks, Lisa Carrier candles, Baron Hats, DAO Home furnishings, and jewelry by Jennifer Jesse Smith, Christian Evans, Templar, and Soffer Ari. About Moods of Norway:
In the creative cellars of the picturesque town of Stryn, Norway (population 6,750), the two local designers Simen Staalnacke and Peder Børresen — after years of global travels, international studies and nights of sizzling cocktails — gave birth to a concept soon to be known, worn, and adored; the Moods of Norway. The duo met up with the third musketeer, Stefan Dahlkvist and drew their lines for the coming collections.
Moods of Norway has been doing the hibbedy-dibbedy on the international fashion dance floor since 2003, and the philosophy is still the same even though the Norwegian oil price is as flexible as a Bulgarian gymnast after 14 Tequila shots. Our main goal, besides making our grandmas happy, is to make happy clothes for happy people around the world. As of this golden minute, Moods of Norway is presented in the most polished and happy stores across the universe. Stefan, Peder and Simen are still commandeering golden tractors around the globe, telling outrageous stories and creating super-duper collections at an alarming rate. The brand has its headquarters and showroom in the town of Stryn, a magical place known for glaciers, salmon fishing and one newly opened escalator.
