Where do the party people go?
Illusions II is one of the best-kept secrets in Nashville. Well-hidden at 339 Wilhagan Rd. off Murfreesboro Road, this bar has more to offer than you may think.
With an updated patio and deck, complete with Tiki bar, sand volleyball court and horseshoe pit, Illusions II is a place to hang out in the summertime. Recently stained, sealed and newly decorated, the outside bar is the place to be. Outside bar hours are yet to be finalized.
The showroom floor was also recently remodeled, giving way to one of the best shows in town...not to be missed and hosted by Scarlett Redd, with Secret Storm, Talyah Sanchez and Anastasia Beaverhausen.
"Kings and Divas" every Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. includes Jordan Allen, Damien Payne, Shane, Kamme Leon and Justice Allen.
"All the shows are awesome. Each show really does have its own individuality," says Lisa Swaner, cook at Illusions II.
"It’s one hell of a bar! Everyone needs to come out and enjoy him or herself," declares Dave, Illusions II manager and bartender.
Donna Novack, the "karaoke queen," emcees two karaoke nights a week. "A message from Mother Karaoke: Come sing, dance, frolic and play at Illusions II on Thursdays and Fridays," says Novack.
Aside from the shows, the karaoke and the outdoor sports, why else do people go out? To drink, of course. With bartender Todd Hale, the drink prices aren’t the only things that’ll keep you coming back.
Happy hour is seven days a week at Illusions II, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering $2 beers and well drinks. After 8 p.m., buckets of beer are $15 and pitchers are $5.
"The bar is very laid back, and we have some fabulous finger foods," says Dave.
Teresa Carter, Illusions II regular, had it right when she said, "It reminds me of the television show Cheers, because everybody knows your name."
