Hundreds of LGBTQ nonprofits to participate in Give OUT Day

Give OUT Day, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community, will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, the 24-hour culmination of a month-long campaign during which over 400 LGBTQ nonprofits are raising funds to support their critical work.

“Hundreds of grassroots LGBTQ organizations are leveraging Give OUT Day to raise funds at a time of tremendous need, as the LGBTQ community begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Nikole Pagan, who manages the Give OUT Day program. “Thousands of donors — and hundreds of fundraisers — are stepping up and showing their pride by showing their support for these critical organizations.”

The organizations that earn the most individual donors in their categories, called Leaderboards, can earn up to $10,000 in prize grants. These Leaderboard prizes are supported by Horizons Foundation, Laughing Gull Foundation, Harnisch Foundation, and the Give Now Fund of Horizons Foundation. Organizations have the opportunity to win additional prizes, called Power Hours, sponsored by LGBTQ Nation and Horizons Foundation.

Since 2013, Give OUT Day has helped hundreds of grassroots nonprofits raise millions of dollars from tens of thousands of individual donors. Spanning all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, these organizations support all facets of the LGBTQ community, from groups specifically supporting LGBTQ people of color and transgender people to groups focused on legal rights and the arts.

Give OUT Day is organized by Horizons Foundation – the world’s first community foundation of, by, and for LGBTQ people – which provides the technology platform, training, and resources to participating organizations at no cost. Horizons thanks its Advocate-level 2021 partners Brio Financial Group, Masto Family Foundation, and Dolby for their support.

I don’t know what it is with men’s jeans that make it so difficult to find the right pair. It takes time to go through all these denim brands and try styles like straight-legged, boot-cut, and then the disco favorite, flared jeans. Thanks to popular metal bands back in the day, acid-washed and stone-washed jeans were a thing–pair those with a biker jacket and some big hair, and you were set.
