Entertainment line-up set for Nashville's Pride festival

Nashville Pride announced today that Lady Bunny will emcee and Deborah Cox will headline this year's Pride festival which will be held in Riverfront Park on Saturday, June 20.

A multi-talented drag artist, Lady Bunny is a comedienne, emcee, singer, organizer, and hostess of Wigstock, the outrageous festival of drag attended by 40,000 New Yorkers every Labor Day for nearly 20 years.

Most known for her signature glitzy outfits, sky-high wigs and lengthy lashes, Pride attendees can expect Lady Bunny to bring a unique, fun spirit to the day's festivities as they take in the riverside scenery, an expected 100 food and business vendors, a kid zone and a variety of live entertainment headlined by Deborah Cox.

Cox is a Toronto-based singer/actress who has returned to the world of R&B with her new album "The Promise." Her first album, Deborah Cox, was released in 1995, and achieved platinum status, yielding R&B/pop hits like "Who Do U Love?," "Sentimental" and "Where Do We Go From Here." In 1997, she scored her first big dance hit with "Things Just Ain't the Same" from the "Money Talks" soundtrack.

Her second Arista release, One Wish (1998) also achieved platinum sales, garnering the two smash hits, “We Can’t Be Friends” and "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here," which holds the record for being the longest running #1 R&B single for 14 consecutive weeks.

Other acts to perform during the Saturday festival include: Nashville-based Kelly King, who produced a Top 25
Billboard Pop Hit “I Don’t Wanna Sing That Song” on the Adult Contemporary Charts in 2007; rock trio Eric Himan and the Adams with songs from Eric's album Resonate and covers of songs from the likes of Prince and Maroon 5; and Jason Antone who's tracks "Be Free" and Love's Gonna Lead You Back" made the Top 25 on the Billboard Club Charts.

There remains a notoriously significant disparity in healthcare outcomes for LGBTQ+ patients, often related to issues with discrimination among providers.

It is, therefore, important to be vigilant about how your data is handled. You have a right to privacy just as you have an expectation of fair treatment.
