DJ Killa Chris’ top tracks - May 15, 2021

DJ Killa Chris’s new playlist [CLICK HERE FOR PLAYLIST] of his top ten tracks for this week includes "Learn To Love Again" by Audien - and much more!

THE LIST:

Skrillex, Starrah & Four Tet - Butterflies

The GOAT is back and he has a lot in store for us. Very unique vocal effects throughout and I love the bells at the end.

Boys Noize featuring Jake Shears - All I Want

So much of this song reminds me of Kraftwerk and it makes me happy. Really fun bouncing bassline. I always appreciate when Boys Noize uses older drum machines in his music. The vocals are really fun.

KOAN Sound - Traverse

The sound design on this song is insane. The beats are really well done, they are so intricate and meticulously crafted.

Anti-Up - Shake

I really like the bassline in this song. The vocals are fun with all the shouting parts. The chorus reminds me of melodies that Mr.Oizo writes.

Audien - Learn To Love Again

I have always liked Audien’s music but this song really resonates with me. The breakbeats are so clean. The vocals are well done but the music is really what gets me hyped.

David Guetta - Get Together

The song starts out a little cheesy but the chorus is so catchy and I love the beats. The production throughout is really clean.

Two Can - Your Love (Bijou remix)

The vocals on this house track are catchy. The the sound design on the beats is really clean.

Godlands - My Weakness (feat. BRUX)

I love the complexity in the chorus of this song. Brux’s vocals are really well done and I definitely expect to hear this a lot over the summer.

Tigers - Christian Burns

This song is breathtaking. I love the haunting vocals and all the reverse sound effects. The piano, strings, and arpeggios all complement the vocals magnificently.

Ilan Bluestone - Taking You There

Ilan Bluestone just released his new album Impulse just came out. All of it is really good. If you like trance go check it out. This is one of my favorite songs from the album.

Mental Health for LGBTQ+ Aging Adults

Queer elders have made a big impact on the world. Queer folks over the age of 65 were around during the Stonewall Movement in the 1960s and may have even campaigned to improve the rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ people around the world.
