Barrett Honors College Flinn Foundation Centennial Lecture welcomes bestselling author and cultural critic, Roxane Gay September 25

Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University (ASU) will host Roxane Gay, New York Times bestselling author and social critic, as the 2020 Flinn Foundation Centennial Lecturer.

Gay’s keynote titled “Roxane Gay: With One ‘N’,” will be presented from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, via Zoom at  https://asu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Sc73xq4gRpS4zmPugSU88Q

Gay’s work has garnered international acclaim for its reflective, no-holds-barred exploration of feminism and social criticism.

Her book, Bad Feminist, a collection of essays spanning politics, criticism, and feminism, was named a New York Times bestseller and one of the best books of the year by NPR.

Other books by Gay include AyitiAn Untamed State, the nationally bestselling Difficult Women, and the New York Times bestselling Hunger.

She is the first Black woman writer for Marvel, having written World of Wakanda. She also is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times.
