Arizona Entertainer of the Year 2017

By Laura Latzko, May 2017 Issue.

In the Arizona Entertainer of the Year system, excellence is measured by a contestant’s ability to entertain a crowd.

As part of the annual pageant, which took place March 4 and 5 at Aqua Nightclub in Phoenix, four performers set themselves apart from the other contestants to ear the 2017 Arizona EOY titles.

Arizona EOY F.I. 2017 Isis D’Frost, Arizona EOY Femme 2017 Tora Woloshin, Arizona EOY King 2017 Romeo White and Mr. Arizona EOY 2017 Matt Finish will represent Arizona in the EOY system at the national pageant July 25-29 in Louisville, Ky.

Echo Magazine caught up with the newly crowned titleholders to get to know a little more abut them and their talents as they kick off their reign.

Gender-Inclusive Universities and Student Privacy

This lifestyle is also accompanied by a period of self-discovery, of defining and redefining a sense of personal identity largely independent of the influence of family and friends from home.

For students who are members of the LGBTQ+ community, this rite of passage can also be a deeply empowering one. Indeed, attending university may be the student’s first real opportunity to explore their gender identity in a safe, comfortable, and accepting college.
