Middle Tennessee’s Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce Nov. 4 GLBT Expo at LP Field is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever.
With a change in venues, organizers say they are on the verge of selling out vendor space, and expect a crowd of more than 1,000 people to attend. Door open at Noon and will stay open till 6 p.m.
“We’re less than three weeks away and exhibit space is almost sold out,” said John Wade, president of the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce. “I believe this is going to be a great event for all those who are participating.”
While at the expo attendees will have the chance to win a variety of door prizes, including a cruise for two (Kevin Richards Entertainment will offer a chance for attendees to win a cruise for two to the Dominican Republic on the Costa Mediterranean Feb. 25 to March 4, 2007); a set of tires from Bridgestone; two tickets to Southern Baptist Sissies; a $300 host package for Artrageous and a few Apple iPods.
In addition to visiting with more than 60 vendors, there will be auditions held for upcoming theater performances for Nashville Stages.
Tryout for Naked Boys Singing, SITCOM and The Rocky Horror Show
Nashville Stages will hold auditions for the 2007 Out & About Theatre Series on Saturday, November 4 from Noon - 5pm at LP Field (Titan's Stadium) in cooperation with the Life & Business Expo 2006 (NAPP). Auditions will be for singing and non-singing roles in The Rocky Horror Show, A Comedy called SITCOM, and the Nashville premier of the hit off-Broadway musical Naked Boys Singing.
Actors should bring sheet music that displays range. Series musical director Mark Beall will be on hand as piano accompaniment. Pre-recorded accompaniment is also allowed on tape or cd. There will be no dance audition at this time. Readings will be from the script, but prepared monologues are also welcome. Attendees are encouraged to park at LP Field at LOT S (the side nearest the river). Come to the entrance nearest the Expo Banner hanging outside the stadium.
