Animated series with gay characters streaming on Netflix

The latest adult animated series Chicago Party Aunt just dropped. The show is an irreverent, unfiltered take on the famed stereotype of the iconic party aunt — and her gay nephew. he queer cast includes RuPaul and Rory O’Malley. (RuPaul needs no introduction but Tony Award-nominated Rory is known for his roles in Broadway's Hamilton and The Book of Mormon, and TV's Grace and Frankie, Modern Family, The Good Wife, Superstore, and more).

Rory holds a BFA in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University and has been performing since he was cast as St. Joseph in his 2nd Grade Christmas Pageant. He lives in Los Angeles with his husband Gerold and their son.

The hilarious Chicago Aunt centers on the character of Diane Dunbrowski, who has been the life of the party in her beloved hometown since the 1980s and has no plans on giving up the reins anytime soon. What she lacks in adulting skills, she makes up for with her heart of gold and stubbornly loyal determination to her family and friends. Still, it's clear Diane needs to adapt to the rapidly changing world around her unless she wants to become a relic of the past like her favorite Spuds McKenzie poster.

Luckily her favorite (and only) nephew, Daniel, defers going to college and decides to ditch the suburbs and live with his aunt in the big city. She is Daniel's blue-collar fairy godmother, ready to show him a good time, and he is her guide through the often treacherous perils of modernity that is shifting beneath her on a daily basis.

Inspired by the popular Twitter account, Chicago Party Aunt, the adult animated comedy follows Diane and Daniel as they navigate work, family, romance, and most of all, how to party their brains out in the best damn city in the world. Watch the trailer:

I don’t know what it is with men’s jeans that make it so difficult to find the right pair. It takes time to go through all these denim brands and try styles like straight-legged, boot-cut, and then the disco favorite, flared jeans. Thanks to popular metal bands back in the day, acid-washed and stone-washed jeans were a thing–pair those with a biker jacket and some big hair, and you were set.
