Actress Megan Fox Speaks Out About 'Slate of Hate'

Yesterday, actress Megan Fox used her Instagram platform to speak out against Tennessee's "Slate of Hate." Fox is Tennessee native: she was born in Oak Ridge and lived in Kingston Springs until her family moved to Florida when she was ten. Fox has also self-identified as bisexual.

Fox recommended her followers support HRC's efforts to oppose the bills. She shared a meme (Instragram post embedded below) of the Buddha beneath the Bodhi tree and wrote:

My home state of Tennessee is on the verge of passing a “Slate of Hate.” A slew of anti-LGBTQ bills including business license to discriminate, child welfare and anti-trans bills

Text HRCTN to 472472 NOW to stop these anti-LGBTQ bills from becoming law. #LGBTQ#LGBT#Tennessee#HumanRightsCampaign

If you are wondering what Buddha beneath the Bodhi tree has to do with anything...this is where  Siddhartha Gautama reached Nirvana and became the Buddha... Hoping the imagery influences your subconscious to make an enlightened choice and support a good and noble cause.

Reaction from her fans was mixed, with some offering thanks, but many denouncing the actress for supporting the LGBT movement, or reviling her for her use of a "false god" in her messaging.

For instance user dalijunts wrote: "Exodus 20: 2-5. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, I am a jealous God."

Another, d7isaac, wrote "Sweetheart, being gay is an abomination to God... it's not the people that they hate, it's the sin that's in the people!"

I don’t know what it is with men’s jeans that make it so difficult to find the right pair. It takes time to go through all these denim brands and try styles like straight-legged, boot-cut, and then the disco favorite, flared jeans. Thanks to popular metal bands back in the day, acid-washed and stone-washed jeans were a thing–pair those with a biker jacket and some big hair, and you were set.

I think we’ve all been there back in the day when we smoked our first joint, and then some, (sorry mom)–hacking, coughing, and choking on the herbaceous weed. Nowadays, there are several products on the market that produces the same effects but without a sore throat like the popular cannabis edibles.
