80s icon Tiffany to perform at 2013 Nashville AIDS Walk and 5K Run

The 22nd Annual Nashville AIDS Walk and 5K Run will feature multi-platinum recording artist and 80’s icon Tiffany.  During her career Tiffany has sold 16 million records which include hit singles such as "I Think We're Alone Now," "Could've Been," "I Saw Him Standing There," "All This Time" and “Feel The Music.”.

Tiffany was discovered by the late Mae Axton, and began her career singing country music in Nashville at nine years old, opening for such artists as Johnny Lee & Mickey Gilley, and performed on Nashville Now and The Ralph Emery Show.

Tiffany released two critically acclaimed singer-songwriter albums, 2000’s The Color of Silence and 2007’s Just Me. After enjoying the success of three hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart, in 2011 Tiffany released her first country music album, Rose Tattoo. Throughout Rose Tattoo, Tiffany introduces herself to a new audience while showing longtime fans a side of her they may have never seen.

Tiffany recently opened, Tiffany's Boutique, an affordable women’s clothing boutique in White House, TN.  Click here for more information.

When I started medical transition at 20 years old, it was very difficult to get the care I needed for hormone replacement therapy because there are very few providers trained in starting hormones for trans people, even though it’s very similar to the hormones that we prescribe to women in menopause or cisgender men with low testosterone.

I hope more providers get trained in LGBTQ+ healthcare, so they can support patients along their individual gender journey, and provide the info needed to make informed decisions about their body. I’ve personally seen my trans patients find hope and experience a better quality of life through hormone replacement therapy.
