In Your Toxic Home, Parts I & II, I detailed the dangers of everyday household cleaning products and personal care products that cause serious health issues for adults, children and pets while greatly harming the environment and helpless laboratory animals. In addition, I provided tools to seek chemical-free, viable alternatives that can be easily incorporated into home and lifestyle.

As you’ve also learned, toxic products are allowed by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and are aggressively marketed to us by greedy corporations. I’m afraid we are going to go from bad to worse in this final installment, where I deviate somewhat and present ingestible additives, that with deep corruption and callous disregard for humanity, have been brought to market; additives that are, at this very moment, harming millions – probably you. There are thousands of dangerous food additives and pesticides to be concerned about, of course, but I am focusing on just three due to their pervasiveness, wide consumption, and brainwashing as to their safe use.

Before we learn about these additives, I want to make something very clear that will probably shock you: the FDA is not interested in protecting the public against dangerous drugs and additives. The AMA-FDA-Pharmaceutical Cartel is only interested in one thing: making money. The FDA-Giant Food Manufacturer Cartel is only interested in making money as well. Presenting this case and all its sad reality requires another article.  However, I urge you to read Kevin Trudeau’s bestseller, Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About. In addition, visit his website, www.naturalcures.com, and read with horror the Gestapo-like techniques the drug cartel has unleashed on the public as it seeks to destroy the health food and nutritional supplements industries and the lives and work of medical pioneers and simple business owners.

With this background in mind, let’s move on to three extremely dangerous poisons that have been unleashed on the unsuspecting public.

Aspartame – Also known as Equal, NutraSweet, Spoonful and Canderal, aspartame is 180 to 200 times sweeter than sugar. At least 100 million Americans consume it in products such as soft drinks, iced teas, flavored waters, candy, powdered beverages, laxatives, drugs, vitamins, breath mints, chewing gum, wine coolers, gelatin desserts, preserves, frozen desserts, milk drinks, yogurt, cereals, juices, canned fruits and baking goods.

Aspartame is a powerful neurotoxin that causes a long and frightening list of health problems because of deadly chemical changes that occur when ingested. Methanol from aspartame is released in the body and converted to formaldehyde (a class A carcinogenic). The formaldehyde converts to formic acid, an acid used as an activator to strip epoxy and urethane coatings. In addition, amino acids phenylalanine and aspartic acid in aspartame are very neurotoxic when unaccompanied by other amino acids. Phenyalanine breaks down into a known brain tumor agent. This will all take place in your body when drinking a Diet Coke. 

Components of aspartame go straight to the brain and causes - among 92 symptoms – blindness, seizures, memory loss, loss of limb control, slurred speech, skin lesions, extremity numbness, headaches, mental confusion, fatigue, hair and hearing loss, weight gain, birth defects, vertigo, depression, mood swings, anxiety attacks, coma and death. For all the dieters out there, aspartame has been proven to cause weight gain and obesity.

Aspartame is being identified as the underlying cause to chronic ill health.  If you suffer from any of the following diseases, aspartame can worsen them: Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Lupus, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Alzheimer's, Chronic Fatigue, Lymphoma, Lyme Disease, Attention Deficit Disorder and Psychological disorders.

Children eat what caregivers and authority figures give them and what they demand from parents due to invasive marketing by aspartame tainted companies and junk food peddlers. When it comes to aspartame, how I do cringe for the children, or any unborn whose mother ingested this poison while pregnant. The following is an excerpt from an e-mail Dr. Betty Martini, sent to the Phoenix City, Ala., Board of Education regarding soft drink vendors at schools:

“Suppose someone offered you this deal: 'Let us feed your children products that trigger learning and behavioral problems, cause obesity, interact with drugs and vaccines, precipitate diabetes, trigger brain fog, blindness, retardation, seizures and produce 92 symptoms including death, by FDA report?' Would you consent?

And by the way an ingredient is an addictive narcotic that hooks them for life, and shortens it. Student athletes will suddenly drop dead when it damages their cardiac conduction systems. It also is a chemical hypersensitization agent. No member of the Board would allow such an atrocity.”

Neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock, MD, one of the world's leading authorities on aspartame neurotoxicity says:

“Since aspartame can increase obesity and may even cause the metabolic syndrome that affects 48 million Americans, there is no reason to ever consume

this product. At the least, it should be immediately banned from all schools.”

Volumes and volumes of information about the credible dangers of this additive have been published by doctors, scientists and journalists, and aspartame comprises over 80 percent of consumer complaints filed with the FDA. Yet, this widely consumed additive retains its haughty position. How does this happen? Why was aspartame approved by the FDA? Well, for 16 years, the FDA not only refused to approve it, it wanted G. D. Searle, the company that held the patent to the chemical, indicted for failing to provide required reports, for concealing material facts and for making false statements in animal studies.  However, Donald Rumsfeld, CEO of Searle at the time, used his political clout to get aspartame approved. (Searle was eventually bought by Monsanto. More on these criminals later.)  If it is too much to think that Secretary of Defense Rummy could unleash his own chemical of mass destruction, consider this: For his complicity in the betrayal, aspartame is currently being called, “Rumsfeld’s Disease."  In fact, last January, a senate bill to ban aspartame in New Mexico was introduced. If passed, no food containing any amount of the sweetener could not be manufactured, sold or delivered in New Mexico.

As with toxic home cleaning and personal care products, diseases and side effects from these poisons often build over a long period of time then appear suddenly. Or, they could be exacerbating another illness you have. Don’t be the victim of a deadly additive that permeates the food source because of greedy and dishonest people who place profits above human life. The FDA-Giant Food Manufacturer Cartel and indeed Congress is culpable, using their money and influence to cover up an additive that has been drenched in deception and that has greatly harmed and continues to greatly harm We the People.

Fluoride

The last person I told to go to the health food store and pick up some toothpaste that didn’t have fluoride in it - of which there are many and for good reason you will soon learn - he was askance: “How will I protect my teeth from tooth decay?” Fluoride’s indoctrination into our mass consciousness is so complete that it’s right up there with the myths that you have to eat meat for protein and consume dairy products for calcium as some of the greatest food industry hoodwinks of all time. 

Water fluoridation is a rather American anomaly, or should I say another “screw the public again” story. It is not added to the drinking water in other countries and is largely banned in Europe because it is illegal under European Human Rights Legislation and medically unethical under certain codes, including the Nuremberg Code - but not in the good ol’ USA: home of the sick and land of the hopelessly brainwashed. Birthed along with other harmful chemicals of its time, asbestos in pipes, lead in gasoline, DDT and such, fluoride remains untouched while these harmful products have been banned. Questionable science in the 1940s gave rise to the thought that some water had a fluoride deficiency and thus the practice of adding sodium fluoride to water as a public health measure began. Sodium fluoride was usurped by silicofluorides, a byproduct of the phosphate fertilizer industry. Silicofluorides are hazardous and toxic and their disposal would have been costly to the fertilizer industry. Therefore, the industry proposed silicofluorides as an alternative to sodium fluoride, and voila, they now had a place to dump their toxic byproducts under the guise of medication. This means that the United States government has allowed an unlicensed “drug” without safety tests or quality control to be dumped in to the public water system.

Before we get to the health hazards fluoride poses, the above should give rise to some serious ethical issues for you. Are you picking up what I’m putting down here? Under the false mantra of “fighting tooth decay” the public is being “medicated” without consent and by a toxic substance! (Fluoride is more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than arsenic.) This is a breach of human rights and violates the Nuremberg Code for human experimentation.

Fluoride builds up in bones and makes them brittle. It accumulates in the pineal gland, damages the enamel of a high percentage of children, lowers fertility rates, increases the risk of cancer, increases the absorption of aluminum and lead, is shown to damage teeth, bones, kidneys, muscles, nerves, the brain and immune function. It adversely affects the thyroid, which might be one reason why Americans are so obese; their thyroids are not functioning and they are not able to metabolize properly.

As with all three of the additives I discuss, there is a lot of controversy and noise regarding fluoride and readers can easily research these subjects. Based on my research, I will say that it is this writer’s opinion that the continued fluoridation of the public water system is one of the tools used to “dumb down” the population and to keep them sick.  Dumb people don’t ask questions and drug buying sick people run up big Pharma profits.

Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH) - Monsanto. The very name disgusts me, and for good reason. This infamous company is always listed right up there with the behemoths of despicable corporations like Bechtel, Dow, DuPont, Wal-Mart and Halliburton, to name a few. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Monsanto employs 45,000 people and peddles over eight billion dollars a year in chemical products to the planet. Its Roundup is the world's largest selling herbicide/poison. Monsanto owns the drug firm G.D. Searle (Aspartame), holds patents to genetically engineered seeds that they force upon the world and whose Agent Orange was sprayed by the U.S. military onto a million Vietnamese and thousands of U.S. soldiers. (Monsanto has successfully blocked any compensation to veterans and Vietnamese civilians who suffered by being exposed to this deadly chemical.) The company’s ties to the U.S. government go deep and wide. Man, you’ve got to be hard up for a job or a sociopath to work for these people.

Got milk? 

Too bad, because unless you consume organic milk, cheese, butter and ice cream for that matter, you have probably been ingesting Monsanto’s Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH) since 1994 when it was approved by our FDA friends. BGH is a genetically engineered hormone that cruelly causes cows to produce more milk and has been called the first of biotechnology’s “Frankenfoods.” Don’t think a foreign hormone in your body is a problem? Well it’s banned in Europe and Canada and was approved without pre-market safety tests or long term studies. Basically, the public – and sadly, children - are the guinea pigs.

BGH has been linked to early development in children, breast, colon and prostate cancers. Robert Cohen, of notmilk.com, says he learned in secret after reviewing Monsanto’s own research that BGH caused cancer in lab animals.

Another very unsavory fact about BGH milk is that it is contaminated with high pus counts. Why? Dairy farmers use BGH to increase the amount of milk that their already overburdened cows produce. The poor cow’s bloated milk sac causes a very painfuludder infection called mastitis. When milked, the pus, bacteria and blood from the infection easily makes its way into the milk.

Because of the pus issue, the dairy industry developed a system called the “somatic cell count” to measure the amount of pus in milk and create a standard; the higher the somatic cell count, the more pus in the milk. Milk with a somatic cell count of higher than 200 million per liter should not enter the food supply. Only the state of Hawaii has a “safe” level by the way:

Tennessee consumes 413,000,000 somatic cells in each glass of milk (over twice as much as the safe level!).

California consumes 298,000,000 somatic cells in each glass of milk.

Nevada consumes 330,000,000 somatic cells in each glass of milk.

Thanks to BGH, farmers endeavor to control mastitis in cows with large doses of antibiotics, which you then get to ingest – along with all the pesticides in their feed.

Not only do humans pay the price for Monsanto’s greed, but animal cruelty is rampant in cows that get sick and suffer due to BGH. The FDA even admits that cows injected with BGH could suffer from increased mastitis, severe reproductive problems, digestive disorders, foot and leg ailments and persistent sores and lacerations. You would certainly be disturbed if you saw pictures of BGH cows, as they can barely walk due to their unnaturally and painfully bloated milk sacs.

All this is just so we can consume a beverage that has nothing to do with good health, strong bones, teeth and calcium – as the industry’s deceptive and clever advertising claims. It was the dairy industry who invented, promoted and funded the four basic food groups to brainwash people into eating a certain way in order to benefit the food industry. If you never drank another glass of milk in your entire life, you’d be fine, even healthier.  Dairy products are linked to allergies, constipation, obesity, heart disease, cancer and other diseases while the industry exacts an extremely high toll on the environment, usually via water pollution. But hey, someone sure is making a lot of money, and that is what it’s all about.

Constantly enveloped in controversy, Monsanto funds their own studies to continually claim to the world the safety of their poisons and harass, litigate and suppress maliciously. They have intimidated small family farmers who label their milk products BGH-free and have brought lawsuits against them. In a scandalous incident, Monsanto pressured Fox News to suppress a BGH story two of its investigative reporters were about to air. The reporters were eventually given the boot by Fox. Again, how can this be? How can a “Frankenfood” hormone that causes cancer in lab animals, is banned elsewhere in the world and which causes horrific animal suffering have been brought to market? Simple. Corporations control the government and donations buy them political favors. The FDA completely rubber-stamped the hormone, and once again let We the People down.

If you’ve read this entire series, you have probably come to the startling realization that corporations, and the politicians that serve them, are not acting in your best interests.  And hopefully you’ve come to the realization that you need to take control or continue to be poisoned. 

You might be wondering, “Why haven’t I heard about all this stuff before?” Well, there actually is a great deal of information on everything I’ve talked about in this series, but it requires one to look a little further than the evening news.  I’ll let Charles Sullivan, writer and activist, explain further:

"Rather ingeniously, the corporate media furtively programs the American mind to consume goods and services, while simultaneously dumbing them down by withholding relevant information. If this information were presented in context it might induce the people to act in ways that are public spirited, rather than selfish. An ignorant citizenry is easily controlled and manipulated, while a well informed citizenry is not. The result is that we have evolved into an intellectually lazy and spiritually shallow culture of mindless consumers—mere automatons who cannot think critically, or act to save ourselves."

It is up to us to be better informed, to see beyond the manipulative and dazzling advertising that impels us to purchase products that are toxic to our homes, our bodies, our children, our pets, our planet.  It is We the People who must make conscious choices and leave a light footprint on earth before she is squashed under the weight of so much toxic greed.
