DJ Killa Chris’s new playlist [CLICK HERE FOR PLAYLIST] of his top ten tracks for this week includes "Skipping Stones" by Sultan + Shepard, & Le Youth - and much more!
THE LIST
Skrillex - Supersonic (My Existence) [with Noisia, josh pan & Dylan Brady]
This is the best song I have heard in a long time. The sound design on this track is insane.
Poo Bear - The Day You Left
The vocals on this tune are really fun especially the syncopation effects during the chorus. The guitar is so crisp and the bass sits under everything perfectly. Skrillex produced this track so it’s obviously been crafted to perfection.
Flight Facilities - The Ghost
This is such a weird house track. The bouncing reverb and vocoded vocals are hypnotic. The acid house synth really ties everything together magnificently.
Sultan + Shepard & Le Youth - Skipping Stones
This song is so uplifting but I would expect nothing less from Sultan + Shepard. Le Youth's vocals are hauntingly beautiful. I hope they collaborate more in the future.
Two Friends ft. Emily Vaughn - Useless
The vocals on this song are so catchy. I like that the piano is the main musical focal point.
Snakehips & EARTHGANG - Run It Up
The piano on this song is so smooth. The bass and beats are well designed and the vocals complements the other aspects of the track.
Golf Clap - Lose It
Golf Clap always makes really fun house. The bass is infectious and I really like all the lazer and space sounds in the build ups and drops.
Futuristic Polar Bears - Ravers Unite
I like the big room house feel to this track. Tons of energy in every build up, I expect this will be played out at a lot of festivals.
Au5 & RUNN - Make You Cry
Au5’s sound design is spectacular as always. All the 80’s beats at the beginning gives it such a playful feel before it gets really heavy. The vocals are well done and the different effects before the drop are really interesting.
Arno Cost & Norman Doray - Show Luv
What an amazing nu disco track. Whenever disco tracks are sampled in a song it can be done well and this song hits the nail on the head.
