Best Post-Pandemic Gay Honeymoon Destinations

Updated April 28, 2021 by Peter Minkoff

Planning your honeymoon is one of the most joyous and thrilling things in the world, and it’s one of those reasons why so many couples are so excited about their wedding. And no matter where you go, you’ll have a great time and enjoy hanging out with your partner, which is why most couples don’t spend too much time when picking a honeymoon destination. However, if you’re a gay couple who’s planning a honeymoon after the global COVID pandemic, you might want to think twice before choosing your destination.

Two of the most important things you need to have in mind are how safe your location is and whether it’s gay-friendly because you don’t want to face any difficulties or dangerous situations when you’re on your honeymoon. So, if you too are thinking about finding the best post-pandemic gay honeymoon destination, here are a few suggestions you might want to consider.

Florida

Spending your honeymoon surrounded by palm trees, beautiful beaches, and friendly people is the perfect scenario for the majority of gay couples out there, which is why going to Florida might be the right thing to do. There are plenty of well-known, gay-friendly spaces in the state where you shouldn’t have any problems expressing your affection and love for your spouse while you’re in Florida.

In addition to great scenery and amazing atmosphere, a beach-centric escape is also among the safest right now simply because social distancing and outdoor activities reduce risks. So, as soon as the pandemic is over and you’re free to travel the world, heading towards Florida and having some fun in this magical place should be the first thing you’ll do!

Thailand

If you’re into tropical climate, outdoor activities, comfortable accommodation, amazing people, and tasty food – Thailand is the place you should definitely visit at least once in your life! And if you have a chance to do so with your loved one, even better! This is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the world, and there are lots of reasons why that’s the case.

First of all, Thailand is a safe place where everyone is welcomed, which means you won’t be frowned upon and stared at during your visit there. Also, it’s taking the battle against COVID quite seriously and managed to score reputable results. Finally, Thailand is full of fun, exciting, and inviting places that will take your honeymoon to the next level and help you have tons of fun while staying there.

Croatia

This is another place that combines fine weather and friendly people – after all, they even agreed to welcome everyone from Joffrey Baratheon to Drogon and everyone in between! What’s even better is that Croatia isn’t that popular with tourists just yet, and it’s not as crowded and expensive as other popular destinations. That’s why this is the place you need to visit ASAP, so spending your honeymoon there might be the right thing to do.

Croatia offers you a wide range of activities, from hiking and swimming to snorkeling and yachting. If that’s something you might be interested in, you should take your time to find the right yacht and check out those comfy yachts for charter that will give you everything you need. These yachts are spacious, luxurious, and comfortable, and that’s something all honeymooners are going to appreciate!

Italy

Spending your honeymoon in Italy might sound like the oldest trick in the book, but you’d be surprised to hear how much fun and love you can find there. Whether you’re going to Florence, Venice, or Milano, or prefer smaller and more intimate places like Trieste and Como, Italy will offer you more than you can imagine and turn into the perfect foundation of your future marriage.

In addition to that, Italy’s fight against COVID has been long and exhausting, and they’re among those people who truly know what they can and can’t do at the moment. They’re looking forward to attracting more and more tourists this summer, and that’s why you can be sure you’re going to have a great and safe honeymoon if you decide to go there.

Unfortunately, most newlyweds and people who are planning their weddings as we speak are afraid to take risks due to COVID. But, if you plan everything properly, pick the right location, and stay safe while you’re there, nothing bad should happen to you and you’ll have the honeymoon of your dreams – and that’s what we all deserve!
