A neighbor kid named Blaze offered up some help on my health and fitness column this week. He is 15 and hates the Jonas Brothers, dates a hot girl, has two gay friends who like the Jonas Brothers, rides a skateboard, and loves sports. His fervor for athletics and his buxom blond bombshell are only slightly overshadowed by his rapacious appetite for knowledge and learning.
He is a simple kid who likes to keep life simple and credits his accomplishments so far to his basic approach. He wrote this sagacious advice exactly as it follows:
Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, failure, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, failure, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, failure, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, failure, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, failure, work, work, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, failure, work, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, failure, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, success, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, failure, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, discovery, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, success.
Go back and peruse this manifesto and find those moments of interspersed triumph and defeat in this method, which is filled mostly with blood, sweat, and tears.
Blaze printed and laminated two copies of his simple approach to life and has posted them on his school and football lockers. Our suggestion is to print and laminate your copy and find your very own conspicuous space to put it. Then prepare for your failures, discoveries, and successes while working on your journey.
This health and fitness acumen is brought to you by that guy who gets by with a little help from his friend Blaze. That guy is Ron Blake and he can accept gratitude for his teenage titan at rblake5551@hotmail.com.
