USA Networks Characters Unite program hits Nashville on Feb. 12

Although Nashville is a vibrant city full of remarkable citizens making impactful changes in the world, recent national incidents such as the Newton massacre and the Sikh Temple shootings demonstrate that work is still to be done in order to bring people together.

As part of its Characters Unite Month to shine an even brighter spotlight on the importance of combating intolerance, hate and discrimination, USA Network is hosting a themed interactive pop-up experience free to the public. The experience will provide Nashville residents and passersby the opportunity to spread the message that each of us, whoever we are, wherever we’re from, can do something to ignite change.

The event will be at Bridgestone Arena from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. USA Network executives will be on-hand to participate in the experience and discuss USA’s Characters Unite initiative.

The activation will take place at the pop up space (5th Street at the corner of Broadway Street), in which consumers will be able to engage in meaningful conversation and create their own custom “I Won’t Stand For…” T-shirts. Participants will be able to select a stamp representing an issue about which they are passionate, including discrimination, prejudice, religious intolerance, racism, homophobia, ableism, among others. After creating their personalized T-shirts, using a special photo kiosk, consumers are able to take a photo and/or video message to immediately upload to their social media sites.

USA Network’s Characters Unite Month features a variety of on-air programming, digital content and community events designed to educate and rally Americans to come together and fight intolerance and discrimination in all its forms.
