Untitled Artist Group offers enlightenment with 'Glow'

Limelight Nashville flips the lights from 7 to 11 p.m., July 25, for Untitled Nashville's annual midsummer's night show, "Glow: An Illuminated Art Event."

Limelight Nashville, located in Nashville at 201 Woodland Avenue, hosts this night of uncensored art for unlimited audiences. Limelight Nashville is a spacious and stylish upscale concert and event space dedicated to supporting everything Nashville. Limelight also brings solid live music to Music City via its state-of-the-art sound equipment. As a new venue under new management, Limelight Nashville holds a promising future to spotlight local talent and events. 

Glow invites you to step through the darkness into another world where all illumination comes from original works of art. Admission at the door is only $5 per person.

Untitled Nashville is comprised of several hundred artists and has introduced new artists to the community since 1991. The group has left an indelible stamp on the burgeoning Nashville art scene.

Untitled members include staff and exhibiting artists from Zeitgeist, Dangenart, Plowhaus, Twist Gallery and (fov) gallery.  Untitled members also include art faculty, students, and graduates from Watkins College of Art and Design, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Florida Atlantic University, Lipscomb University, TSU, Fisk University, MTSU and many other fine institutions.

The brilliance includes door prizes, glowing art from local artists, affordable art, a photography slideshow by SNAP Nashville, live performances including glowing bellydance by Linda and hula hoop performance by Sunny Becks of Hooprama, henna body art by Henna Blooming and live music by D.J. Synapse Trap and Jesse Valentine. 

The emcee for the evening will be local burlesque beauty Miss Lolly Pop.  Visitors can enter to win a wide variety of prizes from local businesses and organizations like Nashville's Most Wanted Pizza, Music City Burlesque, Dr. Sketchy's Nashville, Grimey's New & Preloved Music, Electric Athena Tattoo Shop, Inkbath Art & Apparel, Magnolia Spa, Act 1, Plaza Artist Materials, ASK Apparel, Nashville Roller Girls, Pangea, Cafe CoCo and more.

You will also be able to visit Untitled's "small works" table and find art for any budget. No matter what your taste in art, your interest is certain to be lit by the wide variety of art by luminaries from across Middle Tennessee.

The art party of the summer, "Glow: An Illuminated Art Event" continues a more than decade-old Nashville tradition of self-lit and black-lit art shows. Besides being a fantastic party in the dark, Glow also raises money for the Untitled Artists Group – an artist-run nonprofit organization with a variety of unique art programs.


During the "Glow: An Illuminated Art Event", SNAP (Society of Nashville's Artistic Photographers) will host a digital slideshow of photographic images.  SNAP provides a forum for presenting and discussing member's work in formal and informal settings.  A $5 donation is requested at the door to help continue the community outreach of the Untitled Artists Group. 


Untitled is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting artists, reaching new art audiences, and offering alternative visual arts experiences in the Nashville community. The group's meetings and shows provide opportunities for artists to connect, collaborate and learn from each other. All artists at all levels and in all media are invited to attend weekly meetings every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., and to participate in quarterly exhibitions.
