TEP PAC makes endorsements in Memphis elections

The Tennessee Equality Project Political Action Committee (TEP PAC) has made nine endorsements in upcoming elections in Memphis.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal recently profiled TEP's Shelby County Committee and its candidate outreach.

Eight of those are in Memphis City Council races and the organization has endorsed Herman Morris for Memphis City Mayor.

"The candidates we have endorsed are equality advocates who will support fair laws for Memphis," said Jonathan Cole, co-chair of the TEP PAC Shelby County Committee. "We realize that TEP PAC’s endorsement of Morris for Mayor will be considered controversial by some in light of others who support him. As the only candidate willing to go on record in support of equality for all citizens of Memphis, we applaud Morris’s leadership."
