AIDS Walk and CARES’ Community Health Festival land sponsor

Nashville CARES today announced ScriptGuideRX (SGRX) as the Presenting Sponsor of the 30th Anniversary Nashville AIDS Walk and Nashville CARES’ Community Health Festival. The Nashville AIDS Walk is Tennessee’s oldest continuously running HIV/AIDS fundraiser and one of the city’s highest profile events.

SGRX is a privately-held, Minority Business Enterprise providing Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) services to private and public entities nationwide since 2001. With office locations in Nashville, TN & Detroit, Michigan, SGRX has served as the PBM partner for the CARES’ Insurance Assistance Program for the past 2 years. They have supplied CARES the technology to process clients’ claims in-house, providing an automated and efficient way to process claims allowing CARES to deepen relationships with clients, pharmacies, and providers. This also allowed the utilization of data to make informed decisions that directly impact the services provided to clients living with HIV. The partnership with SGRX also increased pharmacy accessibility for clients who previously had very limited access.

“Supporting the work of Nashville CARES is crucial in our own desire to see an end to HIV in our communities,” says Ime Ekpenyong, CEO of SGRX. “We want to see a caring, thriving, community where vulnerable populations have access to care that is affordable, equitable, culturally competent, and inclusive. We believe that Nashville CARES is positioned to address the health disparities that prevent access to care, particularly among those who are disproportionately affected by public health issues.”

“This has been such a collaborative partnership,” says Amna Osman, CEO of Nashville CARES. “We are in weekly consultation with their teams, continually fine-tuning and improving processes allowing us to see significantly improved outcomes. We are beyond thrilled to have them partner with us again as the Presenting Sponsor of the 30th Anniversary Nashville AIDS Walk.”
