One-in-Teen and ENDA highlight February 'Out & About Today' TV

Out & About Today, Middle Tennessee's only TV show that features news, entertainment, and business information geared toward the GLBT community, will feature Nashville's One-In-Teen as well as local officials from HRC and TEP on its two February shows.

The GLBT Businesses in the Struggling Economy / One-in-Teen / Sam & Ruby show will air on January 30, February 1, and February 13-15.

Brent Meredith talks with Joe Morris, associate editor of Out & About Newspaper, about the different ways that GLBT businesses are finding to be creative in order to succeed in these tough times.

Then, Pam Wheeler sits down with One-in-Teen group sponsor Philip Dell and youth board representative James Huff to talk about what the organization does, who it helps, and how you can get involved. For more information, visit www.One-in-Teen.org.

Plus, Chuck Long is in studio with upcoming musical act Sam & Ruby. They recently had one of their songs included on the soundtrack of “The Secret Life of Bees” last year, and their new album is due out this spring. On those dates, O&AT will take a look at the status of the national Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Brent Meredith talks with Jeremy Davis of the Human Rights Campaign and the Tennessee Equality Project, who will give an update on where the bill stands under President Obama’s administration.
