Human Relations Commission - GLBT Tax Tips - Broughton Film Fest

Currently there is no local, state or federal legislation yet in place to protect GLBT workers from being fired as a result of their identity or orientation. On this edition of Out & About Today, Brent talks with Kelvin Jones of the Metro Human Relations Commission to discuss what is and can be done locally to protect against discrimination and work toward getting an inclusive employment nondiscrimination act passed. For more information, visit www.Nashville.gov/HumanRelations.

Then, Pam will sit down with certified public accountant Wes Aull. It's tax time, and they will offer some tips on filing taxes for same sex couples. Plus, they’ll give some advice on which partner should make charitable contributions in their name to get maximum tax rebates.

Plus, Chuck Long has the Entertainment Outlook. First, find out about Queer on Their Feet – An Evening of Standup Comedy and Improv. It’s coming to the Holy Trinity Community Church on Friday, March 27. For tickets, visit www.BrownPaperTickets.com.

Then, we’ll have a preview of the James Broughton Film Festival. Festival organizer F.
