New logo series to chronicle twin brothers as they launch music career and come out

A Logo TV show following the careers of Curb Records recording artists Jacob and Joshua Miller, identical twin brothers from Montana will make its debut on Logo on Oct. 16 at 10 p.m. EST.

“Jacob & Joshua: Nemesis Rising,”  is a reality series that follows the gay identical twin brothers who make up the pop/rock group “Nemesis.” 

The series chronicles the twins as they attempt to make it in the cutthroat music industry and, at the same time, come out publicly about their sexual orientation.

“‘Jacob & Joshua: Nemesis Rising’ prove living a dream and being true to one’s self are not mutually exclusive,” said Brian Graden, President, MTV Networks Music Group Entertainment; and President, Logo.

After moving to Los Angeles, the twins find themselves at a critical crossroads professionally and personally. They need a hit record or they face being dropped from their label. Breaking new ground in the pop music world, the twins will be marketed as openly gay artists necessitating their “coming out” to their family, friends and fans.

Confronting their family is particularly difficult. Raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses, the decision to come out would mean the church will instruct their parents never speak with the boys again. The tension between the twins is thick: While Jacob is extremely confident about this decision; Joshua vacillates, considering the potential damaging affects on their career and the potential devastating loss of their family. In the end, both are united in their determination to make it.

The brothers lived in Nashville for several years before moving to Los Angeles to aggressively pursue their music careers. Prior to moving, Joshua had been a popular bartender at Play Dance Club on Church Street. It was this connection that prompted the duo to record their Nashville performance for the new show at Play.
