National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and Wells Fargo accepting applications for third-annual GLBT Business Owner of The Year Award

The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and Wells Fargo & Company announced the third annual NGLCC/Wells Fargo GLBT Business Owner of the Year Award, recognizing a small business owner for his/her entrepreneurial spirit and personal service to the community.

In addition to a cash grant of $5,000, the recipient will be recognized at the 2007 NGLCC National Dinner, An Evening of Courage, on November 2nd at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. Applications are currently being accepted.

"We are proud to again join with Wells Fargo and Company to recognize excellence in LGBT business," said Justin G. Nelson, NGLCC co-founder and president.

NGLCC and Wells Fargo support the accomplishments of GLBT small businesses and are proud to join forces in presenting the NGLCC/Wells Fargo GLBT Small Business Award. The award recognizes one outstanding GLBT business owner for their business performance, innovation, growth, and personal service to the community.

Winner of the 2006 award, Bob Witeck of Witeck-Combs Communications (Washington D.C.) said, "Like many small business owners, we aim to build a reputation respected by all.
