Nashville in Harmony's #iHeartTheHolidays coming to TPAC

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tickets are available now for Nashville in Harmony’s (NiH) 2014 holiday concert event. This year’s theme, #iHeartTheHolidays, will be held in TPAC’s James K Polk Theatre on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices begin at $27.50.

The popular holiday concert kicks off the 11th season for Nashville in Harmony and will feature the choral group's take on traditional holiday favorites such as "Jingle Bells" and "White Christmas" as well as songs from the new Broadway musical A Christmas Story and the wildly popular Frozen. Join NiH for what is sure to be a sold out event.

"The mission of Nashville in Harmony is to create community. Social media has allowed the world to connect and build community in ways we never could have imagined," says Don Schlosser, Artistic Director for NiH. "We are excited to incorporate some fun social media elements in this year’s performance! And of course there will be some musical numbers that would get even Ebenezer Scrooge’s toe tapping."

Nashville in Harmony's mission is to use music, from classical (with a twist) to pop to holiday favorites, to build community and create social change. NiH's repertoire includes songs that align with its mission as well as those that are just pure fun!

About Nashville in Harmony:

Nashville in Harmony (NiH) is celebrating 11 years as Tennessee’s first and only musical arts organization specifically created for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people – and their straight allies. With a mission to “use music to build community and create social change,” NiH brings people together within both the LGBT community and also the community at large.

Nashville in Harmony is proud to bring a unique style and voice to the Nashville arts scene, striving for musical excellence by selecting challenging choral literature for mixed voices. In addition to mastering that type of material, choosing music with lyrics that encourage others to make a difference in the world is equally important.
