Nashville GLBT Chamber hosts Tastefully Unpredictable

In keeping with the tradition of great food and good times in Nashville, the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce hosts its second annual Tastefully Unpredictable, on October 27.

Tastefully Unpredictable is a food tasting event that serves as a sampler for some of the best dining experiences Nashville has to offer. “We want to host an event that anyone and everyone will feel welcome and enjoy,” says Chamber Executive Director Lisa Howe. “Last year’s event was wonderful, but this year will definitely be one to remember.” Alongside a host of food vendors, caterers, and restaurants to sample, this year’s Tastefully Unpredictable includes bar-setup to serve signature drinks and craft cocktails.

Additionally, Tastefully Unpredictable will amaze guests with its artistic endeavors. Promised to provide the unpredictable component, Pop-Up Art exhibits will include sculpture, pottery, cake decorating and sand drawing.

Amos Events will be in charge of the design and décor of the VIP area, along with innovations from freelance event planners and chamber board members Scott Glasgow and Bruce Pittman. Sponsor Gaylord Opryland will be the main food vendor for the affair along with cuisines from last year’s winner for best entrée, 1808 Grill, as well as 2012 Best Dessert awardee Jeni’s Ice Cream, and Savor the Flavor Catering, The Chef and I, Nuvo Burrito and much more.

The Nashville Chamber was founded in 1998 as a professional networking group.   In January 2007, the group became an official GLBT Chamber of Commerce and an affiliate member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The overall mission of Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce is to advance common business interest and promote equality and economic growth.  It also works to raise awareness about the advantages of a diverse workforce, advocates for inclusive workplace policies and strives to refer and drive business to their members.

Research shows that the national buying power of the LGBT segment of the consumer market was estimated to be over $800 billion in 2012. Additionally in 2007, research showed that 70% of gays/lesbians have switched products/services because they learned the company engaged in actions perceived to be harmful to the LGBT community. The Chambers programs, events, and on line publications are all crafted to help grow businesses, incubate networking opportunities and give expert advice to their members and support the LGBT community.

Tastefully Unpredictable, a premiere fundraising event aimed to help support the programming that the chamber offers to its members and the Nashville community at large, is presented by Bridgestone and Gaylord Opryland. This year’s event will take place at OZ and will also include a silent auction.

Tickets prices begin at $40 but VIP tickets can also be purchased for $75. Admission includes food, drink tickets and valet parking.

From tasteful delights to unpredictable surprises, guests this year are sure to walk away from Tastefully Unpredictable wanting another course.
