Nashville CARES goes 'Avantgarde'

Nashville CARES will present their latest fundraiser, AVANTGARDE, at the Boutique Hutton Hotel Ballroom Saturday, Nov. 12.

Designed to be an evening of high energy and fun, AVANTGARDE will be focused around modern international design and fashion as it transforms the room into four individual night clubs that represent four fashion capitals from around the world: New York City, Paris, Milan and Hong Kong.

Produced by BNA Talent Group, the show will be showcasing four local fashion boutiques and designers, as well as four local salons and stylists. The event’s makeup will be provided by MAC Cosmetics. There is a chance that Nashville may see some fresh faces on the runway, as the models will be provided courtesy of Dan Talent Group.

In addition to the fashion show, the AVANTGARDE will also feature a silent auction.

“The silent auction will feature items from everyone’s taste,” says Mitch Turner, Development and Communications Officer for Nashville CARES.

Some of the auction items include a high-end Ben Brantley titanium men’s bracelet, dinners out on the town, and artwork from many past Artrageous supporters. The night’s events will be honoring a special milestone for Nashville CARES, as the organization celebrates its 25th anniversary.

“AVANTGARDE is a celebration of the hope that Nashville CARES has provided to those living with HIV/AIDS over the past twenty-five years,” Turner says.

Starting out as a small nonprofit agency providing comfort and compassion in the last stages of life for those living with AIDS, Nashville CARES has become a full-service social services agency that provides a wide array of services. Throughout the past twenty-five years, Nashville CARES has provided 7,100 clients with support services, 40,000 free HIV tests, and Safe Sex & STD Education to 1,300,000 adults and youth in the greater Nashville area.

AVANTGARDE is open to the public. General admission, VIP and After Party tickets can be purchased at www.NashvilleCARES.org/AVANTGARDE, or by calling 615-259-4866.
