30th Anniversary Nashville AIDS Walk 2021 Goes Virtual

Nashville CARES is proud to announce of the Nashville AIDS Walk 2021 - the 30th anniversary of the event. The Nashville AIDS Walk is Tennessee’s oldest continuously running HIV/AIDS fundraiser and one of the city’s highest profile events. Nashville CARES is also introducing its first Community Health Festival inviting local health-related businesses and providers to participate.  This year’s goal is to raise $200,000 to help end the HIV epidemic in Middle Tennessee.

This unique and interactive event is set for Saturday, October 2, 2021. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the event begins at 10 a.m.

The event will take place in a custom-made, virtual space that replicates Metro’s Public Square Park where the in-person event is typically held. Once inside this unique and interactive platform, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, visit walk teams throughout Nashville, interact at health vendor tents, participate in festival activities including prizes, awards and more! There will also be small in-person satellite groups scattered throughout the Greater Nashville Area who will live-stream into the virtual event as they do a one-mile walk through their neighborhood. Attendees can virtually visit the satellite groups and cheer them on as they walk.

Nashville AIDS Walk 2021 supports CARES mission

“The Nashville AIDS Walk raises money to help Nashville CARES work toward our mission of ending the HIV epidemic in Middle Tennessee,” said Ken Hinman, Director of Development. “It is also a great opportunity for us to share the message that HIV is still an issue in our local community.”
