With the success of Inebriated Shakespeare’s 2018 show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, demand was high for another of The Bard’s work to be performed under the influence.
So, the decision was made to encore last year’s crazy production of Much Ado About Nothing. With most of last year’s cast returning for the experience, fans will also see a few new faces completing the ensemble.
2018’s Much Ado About Nothing kicked off at Inebriated Shakespeare’s home stage, the Music Valley Event Center in February.

Performing in venues, bars and clubs around Music City, Wild Card Production’s Inebriated Shakespeare incorporates an abbreviated version of a William Shakespeare play with some adult beverages thrown in. The audience can purchase shots, which are a $5 donation (per shot) to the non-profit theatre company, and it helps the actors become inebriated. Those attending shows are encouraged to bring cash for the shots.
Much Ado About Nothing’s cast includes Daniel Morgan as Don John/Friar, Catherine Glidwell as Beatrice, Angela Gimlin as Hero/Verges, Zach Parker as Don Pedro and Preston Perrin as Claudio/Dogberry. Taking on duel role duties for Benedick/Borachio are Jarvis Bynum and Aevar Jonsson. Sharing the role of Leonato/Guard is Asa Ambrister and Evan Grabenstein. Alex White and Ryan Dillinger are alternating the role of Margaret/Sexton.
Much Ado About Nothing performances include this Saturday, April 7th, at the Music Valley Event Center, April 21st at The Back Corner, April 27th at The Cobra, May 19th at Belcourt Taps and the final show for the season will be on June 2nd at Twin Kegs II.
