Mannequin lingerie show to benefit Nashville CARES

“Mannequin,” presented by Blavod Black Vodka & Player’s Extreme Infused Spirits, will be hosted by Chance of MuzikMafia & SWJ. Chance, a Nashville native, has exploded onto the nationwide music scene. His unique brand of music fuses his southern style and country roots with the rhyme, rhythm, and soul that is the phenomenon we call “hip-hop” today. SWJ, affectionately known to the MuzikMafia camp as Spoken Word Jen, is a Nashville based poet who has honed her craft by combining spoken word with music. “Mannequin” will take place inside Jamison Hall in The Factory at Franklin on Friday, June 17th, 2005. The doors open at 7:15pm and the show will start at exactly 8:27 p.m. sharp. “Mannequin” will be preceded by a social hour and followed by a social mixer into the evening.

“Mannequin” is somewhat like a twelve scene stage play set to music combining a runway lingerie fashion show with acting. Each scene has a completely different theme and setting, and the vision is carefully crafted using music, creative lighting schematics, and small prop changes that add to the ambiance. Musical selections for “Mannequin” include songs spanning many different genres and times, including classic hit songs from legendary artists like Ray Charles, selections from award winning artists like John Mayer, and new school funk brought to you by Craig David just to name a few. Unlike traditional fashion shows, the focus for the show is not on showcasing the clothing, but in showcasing our beautiful models and actors while creating an intriguing theatrical production that will entice the minds of those watching. This hybrid presentation piece merging runway with theatre will prove to be an experience unlike any other. “Mannequin” is an open bar event, and tickets range from $35 general admission to $100 for Gold VIP and up. Tickets may be purchased securely on: www.iMannequin.com or at one of our official ticket purchasing locations.

“Mannequin” proceeds benefit Nashville CARES, the leading community-based AIDS service organization in Middle Tennessee. Nashville CARES serves 13 counties and over 1500 men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS. Its mission is to promote and participate in a comprehensive and compassionate response to HIV and AIDS infection through education, advocacy, and supportive services.
