Lucky’s Garage to donate percentage of cover to local charities

Lucky’s Garage has started a new charity program -- one its new general manager hopes will help draw crowds while helping out local charities.

Lucky’s “Covers for Causes” will donate 10 percent of all its cover charges collected on Friday and Saturday nights to a different charity each month. The charity selected for the month of January is Nashville CARES.

“We are pleased to be the first and only bar in Midtown to donate 10 percent of our cover charge to worthy charities,” said James Buchanon, Lucky's general manager.

If your non-profit is interested in being Lucky's charity of the month, email Buchanon at james@luckysnashville.com.

Starting Jan. 14, Lucky’s will be open Monday nights as it begins “Service Industry Night” hosted by Annastacia Beaverhousen. Special drag shows will be held at 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., with Karaoke between shows. The club will open at 9 p.m., with free cover for anyone who works in the service industry (and can show a pay stub). Cover charge for everyone else is $5. During these evening, the bar will offer $3 Bud Light and $10 Long Island Ice Tea pitchers.

“Lucky’s continues to look for new ways to meet our customers’ needs and bring them new options in the heart of the GLBT district,” said Buchanon.

Buchanon said new events were being planned for Thursdays, and the Conductor’s Club Weekend would be held Jan. 11 - 13. The Nashville Shock softball team also will hold a Casino Night on Jan. 13.

The entrance to the club is on the alley facing Church street just behind Hustler Hollywood. Free parking for the club is located on the opposite side of the building.

Lucky’s patrons can sign up for an email list that will notify them of the club’s weekly and monthly events automatically. For complete details about the club or to sign up for the email list, visit their Website at www.luckysnashville.com.
