Lucky’s Garage launches 'Cuts for a Cause'

Lucky’s Garage will launch a new monthly charity event, Cuts for a Cause, on November 8. The event will recur the second Wednesday of every month, and if it is popular enough, club owners may add additional Wednesday slots.

“Pretty much everyone knows that Tony (Daniel) and I came from Nashville CARES,” said T. Allen Morgan, one of Lucky’s co-owners. “So we have a real interest in supporting charitable causes.”

The event will be held at Lucky’s and will feature three (or more) professional hair stylists. The stylists will be doing hair cuts for a suggested donation of $10, all of which goes to charity. Tracy Hill of Bishop’s Salon in Bellevue will be coordinating the stylists for the first event and will be joined by his colleagues.

“Get cut while getting buzzed is our slogan,” joked Morgan. “It should be great fun and a good way to raise money and awareness for local charities and organizations.”

The first Cuts for a Cause will raise money for Nashville CARES. However, future recipients of event proceeds will be determined by Lucky’s patrons.

“We encourage both charitable and community organizations and local salons who would like to volunteer for a night of cutting to contact us with their ideas for future events,” Morgan said. “As long as we’re raising money for a good cause, we’re on board.”
