LGBT recording artist CoJo Ko releases new single “Smile” after series of tragedies
Recording Artist CoJo Ko is back with new music and set to celebrate her single release of “Smile” at Standard Proof Whiskey Co. tonight, May 13, 2021. The show will be hosted by entertainer Maurice Johnson.
The release party for “Smile” is slated to be a celebration of the release, and ticket purchases will support CoJo’s journey as an independent artist. Since losing her home in Middle Tennessee’s deadly 2020 tornadoes and the recent death of her father to COVID-19, CoJo has been in the studio working on a new album. The first song, titled “Smile”, is now available for purchase.
“I am so humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support from the Nashville community to celebrate this release. This song was born out of a very difficult time in my life, and I’m so honored to get to share this gift with my friends, fans and family. As an artist, you put yourself out there in your music, and hope that people receive not only the exchange of energy while performing, but also the message of the lyrics and vibrations of your music. I recognize that I’m just the messenger for what the universe is trying to say to its people. That even in the darkest times, there is something, someone, somewhere to smile about,” says CoJo Ko.
CoJo Ko says she has partnered with Earth Rideshare in the hopes to ensure safe traveling for everyone attending the event. Users can type in the promo code SMILE for $5 off their ride Thursday night. Attendees can also schedule their Tesla ride in advance on the day of the event.
The Smile Release Party is sponsored by myURGENCYMD, Music City Dental, The Parking Company Worldwide, LLC, Standard Proof Whiskey Co., Natural Soul Experience, Women Who Rock Nashville, Big Shake’s Hot Chicken and Slim & Husky’s.
