Las Vegas seems like the perfect place for pop star Katy Perry's brand of colorful confectionary concerts. So it's no surprise she's headed to its newest casino, Resorts World, first on March 2, 2022, to March 19, 2022. Then she's back again from May 27, 2022, to August 13, 2022.

Perry hit the charts running. Back in 2008 her seminal earworm "I Kissed a Girl" became a radio rotation banger. From there, she shot to megastardom with her 2010 incendiary bop "Firework." More hits followed such as "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)."

The 37-year-old from California has since become one of the best-selling artists in the world. She also holds the record for most viewers of any Super Bowl halftime show. Perry also became a full-time judge on the "American Idol" reboot starting in 2018.

Clubgoers are familiar with her vocals, in fact, the LGBTQ+ community has unofficially adopted her song "Firework" as a coming-out anthem.

Along with being a pop megastar, Perry is also a fashion icon with her bubble gum kawaii-inspired ensembles. Her surprising eye-popping style fuses perfectly with her free-spirited concert performances like a disco ball Japanese gashapon. Concertgoers' feet are rarely on the floor during one of her shows.

Resorts World Las Vegas fits this aesthetic too. Its massive red-tinted facade and enormous video wall rise above the Vegas strip like a cosmic monolith. One of Vegas' newest editions, Resorts World opened in late June of 2021.

It's the first to accept cryptocurrency and also utilizes a cashless casino system with a virtual wallet. The 59-story hotel boasts a massive sportsbook, a giant casino floor, and nine pools.

Other than its massive size and gaming options, the venue is hoping to make most of its revenue from retail and entertainment. It's clear they are taking the latter very seriously. A-list acts such as Carrie Underwood, Michael Bublé as well as the incomparable Celine Dion are on the concert list with more to follow.

Perry and Resorts World appear to be in perfect sync with eclectic entertainment. One is a tour de force pop superstar and the other a cutting-edge state-of-the-art palace of 21st-century hospitality.

Katy Perry will perform at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas from March 2, 2022, to March 19, 2022. Then from May 27, 2022, to August 13, 2022.
