Jacob & Joshua Miller, gay identical twin brothers who make up the pop/rock group “Nemesis”, will join other celebrities attending the 12th Annual Equality Dinner.
While the two are not scheduled to perform, they will be making a special guest appearance on stage during the program. They join country sensation LeAnn Rimes, Brian Graden, president of Entertainment, MTV Networks Music Channels and president of Logo, and Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign as part of the evening’s program. WTVF NewsChannel 5 anchor Vickie Yates will host the evening.
Three notable Nashvillians will be honored at the 12th Annual Equality Dinner for their contributions to Nashville's GLBT community. Marisa J. Richmond, Ph.D., Christopher Sanders and Iris Buhl have been selected by the Nashville HRC steering committee to be honored.
Jacob & Joshua, who are recording artists with Curb Recors, recently stared in their own reality series, “Nemesis Rising” on Logo last October.
The series chronicled the twins as they made their way in the cutthroat music industry and, at the same time, come out publicly about their sexual orientation.
The brothers lived in Nashville for several years before moving to Los Angeles to aggressively pursue their music careers. Prior to moving, Joshua had been a popular bartender at Play Dance Club on Church Street.
The Nashville HRC Dinner is presented by Bridgestone and the Silent Auction by CMT. The event will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.
"This year’s theme is 'Everyday People, Everyday Families,' and these three honorees have made significant strides to create an environment where GLTB persons are truly accepted as 'everyday people' with 'everyday families,' said J. Noble.
Honoring the hard work of the Tennessee Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans-gendered community, as well as its supporters, this event has become not only the highest-profile fundraiser for the Human Rights Campaign in the Volunteer state but one of the most anticipated social events in Nashville, selling out the past several years.
