Illinois Holocaust Museum program reflects on LGBTQ+ Pride in the time of COVID-19

On June 30, Illinois Holocaust Museum will host a thoughtful reflection and celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month with a dynamic panel of thought leaders and advocates.

Since the 1970s, the last Sunday in June was an opportunity for thousands of LGBTQ+ individuals to celebrate their individuality with parades, marches, and celebrations – using these events as a way to be seen, heard, and accepted.

Join Columnist and Political Analyst Laura Washington of the Chicago Sun-Times and ABC-7 Chicago, Senator Mike Simmons, CEO of Equality Illinois Brian C. Johnson, Executive Producer of Art & Pep, Kevin Hauswirth, and Executive Director of GLAAD Legal Advocates and Defenders Janson Wu as they discuss how the global pandemic has impacted the public face of the LGBTQ community.
