The European Union is recommending its 27 nations remove the United States from a safe list of countries for nonessential travel.
With nearly 140,000 people hospitalized in the U.S. from Covid-19, U.S. hospitalizations are now at the highest point in more than seven months, according to federal official data.

It’s important to remember, traditional travel insurance does not cover pandemics. However, we have seen most providers adapt coverage to consider Covid-19 as any other covered illness. InsureMyTrip’s new Covid-19 recommendation tool has been added to our travel insurance quote process. It can help travelers find coverage for Covid-19.
Cancel for Any Reason Option
The optional Cancel For Any Reason benefit (also known as “CFAR”) is a particularly popular coverage option, allowing for the more cancellation flexibility. CFAR may reimburse 50% - 75% of your insured trip costs if you need to cancel your trip for a reason not covered by your policy. CFAR is the only cancellation option to cover fear of travel, but there are several requirements, and not everyone qualifies.
