Health and Fitness - What Dr. Seuss Might Have to Say About Those Questions You Have Each Day

Dr. Seuss once said, “Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.” Your wellness in life is usually a simple answer away. Start asking those complicated questions, and get ready for your body and mind to improve quite simply.
For example, why don’t you go back to school? You never did finish college. Will another time really be any better? Once you are done, you will feel so unfettered. You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut. Enroll in class — I don’t want to hear but.

Why don’t you quit your job? Your work is tedious — no chance to make friends. If you stay with your job, what message will that send? You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. Other jobs can make you happy; it’s just money you’ll lose.

Why don’t you move? You freeze every winter when you shovel the snow. The annual cold weather won’t change — no, no, no! You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the one who’ll decide where to go. When it’s mild and pleasant, you’ll enjoy it, head to toe.

Why don’t you learn to relax and enjoy life? You are uptight and stressed each day of the week. It seems so long ago when you played hide and seek. From there to here and here to there, funny things are everywhere. Cut loose with a joke … if you dare.

Why don’t you try something different? You’re wearing a necktie and clean-shaven face, as if you’re afraid you will look out of place. Why fit in when you were born to stand out? Tomorrow? A bowtie. Let your facial hair sprout.

Why don’t you try to change the world? As you lie on the couch, nothing seems to improve. A call to action will require a move. Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not. When you create change, you are in the right spot.

Everything stinks till it’s finished. Finish those complicated questions with some simple answers.

You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so … get on your way. Your well-being of tomorrow is almost here. Raise your glass with me and let out a cheer!
