Labor Day weekend is near but there is still plenty of time to plan an out-of-town adventure. GLBT focused activates can be found in most major cities. This year my top pics are a new kid on the block and the granddaddy of Labor Day celebrations.
Strippers and Hustlers Ball (Las Vegas) – The Strippers and Hustlers Ball is a brand new Labor Day event but it promises to quickly make its mark on the holiday. Headquartered at The Orleans, the giant is the brainchild of veteran promoter Perry Mann.
The Strippers and Hustlers Ball will celebrate stripping as an art form and will feature a national competition with over $25,000 in cash and prizes to crown America's #1 stripper. The categories are Best Body, Best Dancer, and Best Pole Dancer. The semifinals will occur on stage at the Ball on August 30, and the finals on August 31.
I have been assured that a wide variety of strippers and eye candy have been procured and guests of all persuasions will find plenty to look at. Pull a group together of your favorite gays, lesbians, straights and everything in between; everyone will have a great time at the Strippers and Hustlers Ball. Southern Decadence (New Orleans) – Southern Decadence is the Mecca of gay Labor Day. 2008 is the 37th year of the party that could not be snuffed by a hurricane. I will be down there again this year, taking notes and pictures, so I can deliver all the juicy goodness to you in the September issue.
