Get on "The Polar Express" This Season For a Magical Ride

Like a musical on rails, The Polar Express is pulling out of the station and into your heart for the month of December.

Southern California isn't usually associated with cold temperatures and winter wonderlands, but The Polar Express Southern CaliforniaTrain Ride is making Christmas miracles come true.

Based on the famous 2004 Steven Spielberg motion capture film The Polar Express, and book of the same name, this magical train ride emulates the spirit of the movie in its hour-long trip to the "North Pole."

It's an immersive musical journey that your kids and even yourself will enjoy. Once you board the train the hosts will punch your golden ticket and serve hot chocolate and shortbread cookies to get you in the spirit.

There's a read-along from the source material written by Chris Van Allsburg. Then there's a special visit from Santa and his helpers as they present guests with a silver sleigh bell just like in the story.

The train then leaves the station and the journey begins to the North Pole which is actually the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris, California.

Each car has its own designated cast of characters that lead passengers in song. The magical trip lasts about two hours. Passengers are encouraged to wear pajamas in keeping with the theme of the book and movie.

This is a seasonal treat for all parents and their children. The company has updated some of the entertainment since it last ran in 2020 which ensures that even if you have taken this trip before you're going to experience something new.

Ticket prices vary based on the date, but everyone enjoys the same show in their respective coach cars.
