Creating Change Host Committee Invites Everyone to Register for the Conference

The nation’s largest annual skills-building conference for the LGBT community is imminently arriving to our local community here, set to bring more than 2500 activists and leaders from across the country. November is only a few short months away. In order to reap the full unifying and networking benefits of the conference it is important that local members of the community are present.

In order to ensure the success of the conference, 300 volunteers are needed on-site at the conference. Not only would you be showing your Kansas City pride, but also as a perk for every four-hour session you work, you can attend the rest of the day’s events for free! You’re Invited to the Next Host Committee Meeting
Get involved before the conference comes to town. The Kansas City Host Committee invites you to attend the next meeting. Meet other local activists and make connections. It is never too soon to network and become involved. Meetings are always held at the Westin Crown Center at 7pm, with the upcoming meeting being on July 19, followed by August 16. Do something important with your summer and join in.
Additionally, there are a plethora of subcommittees still looking for members including: local promotion & outreach, volunteers, programming, hospitality support for youth, elder, people of color, spirituality. We Need Your Beds
With over 2,500 people expected to arrive for the conference we need people to show their local Kansas City pride by volunteering to host visiting activists. Many of the conference attendees are youth and elderly who often do not have the money to attend the conference and pay for the hotel. What better way to show how friendly Kansas City is and to meet some interesting people? Creating Change is counting on our local LGBT community to help ensure the success of the conference.
