The Harajuku Lovers 2005 Tour will feature an unforgettable full stage production incorporating all the themes of the album. Double platinum hip-hop sensation Ciara will join Gwen at the show as her opening act.

A 'Tuna Christmas' returns to TPAC's Polk Theatre December 6-11, 2005
Season’s Greetings from Tuna, Texas! A TUNA CHRISTMAS, the hilarious sequel to the hit comedy Greater Tuna, makes its triumphant return to Nashville at TPAC’s Polk Theater for a limited one-week engagement, December 6-11. Spend the holidays once again with all your favorite citizens of Tuna, Texas, where the Lions Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies, and make some new friends while you’re there.
Master comedians Joe Sears and Jaston Williams—with their deft comedic timing, trademark characterizations, and split-second costume changes—bring all 24 citizens of Tuna back to the stage. In A TUNA CHRISTMAS, it’s 24 hours before Christmas and all comic hell is about to break loose as the delightfully eccentric characters attempt to cope with seasonal traumas, including a disaster prone little theatre production of A Christmas Carol and a yard decorating contest that is being sabotaged by a mysterious Christmas phantom.
“You haven’t seen funny until you’ve experienced A TUNA CHRISTMAS, which is one of my favorite holiday shows,” said Kathleen O’Brien, TPAC’s president and chief executive officer. “It's become an annual tradition in our house to kick off the holiday season by watching the video, so having Joe and Jaston back at TPAC to deliver their comedic genius in person is quite a treat.”
On Christmas Eve, the local proprietor of the used weapons shop, Didi Snaveley, has decked her halls with Uzi’s, grenades and switchblades. Baptist extraordinaire, Vera Carp, has visions of winning the local Yard Display Contest dancing through her head but a mysterious “Christmas Phantom” is defacing people’s displays. Now, Vera’s life-size statues of Bing Crosby and Natalie Wood in the living nativity scene (complete with live sheep) are in jeopardy while Bertha Bumiller’s family is falling apart on the spot. Her surly twins Stanley and Charlene, and her philandering husband cannot even find the time to trim the tree and bake cookies. A Norman Rockwell painting, this is not.
Tony-nominated Joe Sears and Jaston Williams have been touring extensively with the Tuna productions since 1982. Their over 30-year stage partnership has outlasted the comic duos of Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, and Martin and Lewis. The two first met and worked together at San Antonio’s First Repertory Company. Mr. Sears played Flute and Thisby in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Mr. Williams appeared as Puck. Other productions in which the two have appeared together include Arsenic and Old Lace, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Foreigner, in which they toured between Tunas for over ten years.

Nashville Ballet’s Nutcracker: Our Holiday Tradition features The Nashville Symphony, a Tennessee Titan and World-Class Dancing
Nashville Ballet presents Nashville’s own exciting Nutcracker — accompanied by The Nashville Symphony and featuring Tennessee Titan Erron Kinney and other celebrity guests — December 9 - 11 and 16 -18 in Jackson Hall at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Nashville Ballet’s Nutcracker will offer both live music by The Nashville Symphony and high-quality professional ballet side-by-side for the holidays.
Nashville Ballet is partnering with the American Red Cross by donating a portion of single ticket sales from the Friday, December 16 performance. This financial gift will support the Katrina disaster relief fund so the Red Cross can continue to provide assistance to those affected by this hurricane.
“This is truly Nashville’s Nutcracker,” said Paul Vasterling, artistic director of Nashville Ballet. “The Nashville Symphony will perform Tchaikovsky’s classic score live at each show, and our dancers will be accompanied by the 150 members of the youth cast, who are all from Middle Tennessee. Plus, we are featuring local celebrities in the role of Mother Ginger, which adds even more of a Nashville flavor to the performance.”
Nutcracker is the whimsical tale of Clara and her magical Nutcracker doll. Larger-than-life Nutcracker dolls, huge sets, bright lights and a bold dragon operated by nine dancers will take the audience on a magical adventure. They will journey through the Land of Sweets and the Snow Kingdom, with plenty of suspenseful battle scenes and engaging dancing along the way.
